Brittany Lau

Brittany Lau is twenty years old and grew up in West Covina, CA. During her childhood, she studied in visual art, theater, and music, which included piano and singing. She is currently a student at the prestigious California Institute for the Arts (Cal Arts) as an acting major. Previously, she attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) where she helped form the completely student-run Square Peg Theater Company in her senior year. In addition, she has performed in numerous plays throughout the Los Angeles area and has appeared in several short films and educational videos. After graduating from LACHSA, she took a gap year to fuel her passion for children. She began working as a music teacher at the South Pasadena and Monrovia Gymboree Play and Music locations. Although she was the youngest teacher there, she excelled thanks to her theatrical background. While she was in Hong Kong, she tutored young children and taught them English. As an advocate for arts in the public school system, Brittany hopes to combine her extensive art background and her leadership skills to spread the popularity or art programs in the community.
