Katie aspires to continue working in public service and giving back to her community as a community leader and volunteer. Having been raised in Alhambra, she is deeply committed to serving the community that shaped her values and growth. Currently, she serves as the President and Commissioner of the Environmental & Sustainability Commission for the City of Alhambra’s District 4, where she works collaboratively with residents and city leaders to advance sustainability, environmental justice, and policies that improve quality of life. Through this role and her broader public service work, Katie is dedicated to uplifting community voices, especially those of immigrant and working-class families.

Katie aspires to grow into a director or senior leadership role within public service or a community-based organization, with a focus on advocating for and uplifting Los Angeles Chinatown and other immigrant communities in Los Angeles. She hopes to expand access to culturally and linguistically appropriate resources, support small businesses and seniors, and help preserve Los Angeles Chinatown’s cultural heritage while ensuring the community continues to thrive for future generations.
