Margaret Yuen

Margaret Yuen is a strong, motivated and genuine young woman born and raised in East Los Angeles, California. In 2012, she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychobiology from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). During her college years, Margaret was very passionate about community outreach and dedicated her extracurricular activities towards serving underprivileged communities locally and globally. As a member of UCLA's Global Medical Brigades, she travelled to Africa to assist healtncare professionals in serving individuals living in impoverished villages. As such, she developed a keen interest for a career in healthcare where she can care and make an impact on the life of patients. In pursuit of a career in nursing, she is currently gaining experience at a family medicine clinic and also through the drug safety department of a global healthcare company. In her leisure, Margaret enjoys watching cooking shows, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends. Her motivation for participating in Miss Los Angeles Chinatown is to inspire and encourage Asiar Americans to be proud of their cultural upbringing.
