Nina Koh
柯明君

Born and raised in San Marino, California, Nina Koh is a senior at the University of Southern California, where she studies Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business with a minor in Culture, Media, and Entertainment.
Growing up in a close-knit Chinese American community, Nina was surrounded by examples of service, leadership, and cultural pride. From school and community fundraisers to the Chinese Club of San Marino events, being part of those efforts from a young age helped shape her values and deepened her connection to the community. At USC, she continues that commitment through her involvement in Asian American student life. She has served as Fundraising Chair and Program Manager for a women’s empowerment organization, where she led efforts to support and celebrate the broader Asian American community. During her time as Fundraising Chair, she organized and managed a campus-wide fundraiser in partnership with a local Chinatown bakery, supporting small businesses and uplifting Chinatown’s cultural presence.
Family has always played a central role in Nina’s life. Their support and example taught her the importance of giving back and balancing hard work with joy. That foundation continues to shape how she carries herself and how she connects with others. Nina is proud to represent the community that helped raise her. She sees this role as an opportunity to stay involved, give back, and continue building connections that matter. She hopes to use her platform as Miss LA Chinatown to inspire others and bring positivity throughout Los Angeles.

My name is Nina Koh and I am a senior at the University of Southern California, majoring in business. As fundraising chair for my Asian-interest sorority, I successfully tripled funds raised compared to the previous semester. I am passionate about promoting and supporting causes important to me, while building closer connections and stronger bonds among people.
My Chinese heritage has played an integral part of my life. I have attended West Coast Chinese Family Camp every year, spent two summers volunteering for the Peach Foundation camp serving to inspire underprivileged youth in Yunnan, China, and studied abroad in Hong Kong last semester.
My deep love for uplifting and encouraging young girls led me to participate in Miss LA Chinatown. Through this platform, I aim to embrace my cultural heritage and continue inspiring others to celebrate theirs as well, fostering pride and unity within our community.
