Karin Lin

Born in Taiwan and raised in Los Angeles, Karin Lin resides in Alhambra with her parents Mary and Michael Lin. She is fluent in both Mandarin and Taiwanese. Karin graduated from the University or California Berkley in 2005 with a degree in Political Science. After graduation she worked in retail management and also started her own business. Since then, Karin has accepted a position with Preferred Bank and currently works in the Bank's Commercial Real Estate department in Downtown Los Angeles. Next fall Karin is looking forward to attending grad school to pursue a MBA in real estate finance while continuing to work full time. Karin has alwavs loved to help others and has been an avid volunteer in her community since she was 13 years old. She has volunteered at libraries, hospitals, homeless shelters, youth centers and enjoys extending her passion of helping others on a daily basis. She hopes that the opportunity to be in Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Pageant will allow her to continue and strengthen her passion to serve those who are less fortunate. During her spare time, Karin enjoys reading memoirs and listening to music as well as watching independent films and attending theater events. An athlete since she was young, Karin also enjoys dancing and plays tennis regularly.
