Casey Chin was born and raised in Seattle, Washington where she lived until the age of 9. She moved with her family to Southern California in 1994 and now resides in Cerritos. Casey is currently completing the remainder of her general education at Orange Coast College and will be transferring to the California State University of Long Beach in the fall. There she will earn her bachelor's degree in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. After graduation, Casey plans on pursuing a career in news reporting. Active in community service since high school, she enjoys volunteering her time by putting together book drives and donating all proceeds to the Orangewood Children's Foundation, a shelter for abused children. She promotes the importance of reading and believes books help to provide great imagination and escape for children who are in need. She hopes that children will be inspired by their reading to pursue and achieve their dreams and goals. During her free time, Casey takes pleasure in playing the piano, singing, paint-ing, reading, baking, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family. She is the daughter of Wayne and Janet Chin.
